You Don't Need a Niche!
You may or may not have heard that in order to “make it big” in blogging, you must define yourself in one particular niche. That is, your content should be focused on one major category or variety of sub-categories that more or less all relate to a single topic of interest.

Does this mean that if you don’t have a niche for your blog then you’re doomed to fail? I think not! In fact, it seems like someone needs to stand up and shout from the rooftops that niche-blogging is not the greatest advent since sliced bread. Why must we look down on those of us who are multi-talented, or multi-focused or those who have more than one hobby?

Grown UP Break DOWN / Rebelling Against the Niche
The question itself, ‘what do you want to be when you grow up’, is frustrating. Why do we have to pick one thing? I think of new things to be every day...why can’t we be MANY things throughout our lifetime? Modern science has certainly made it possible to live long and prosper.
Can beings as adaptive and dynamic as humans find satisfaction from doing one job, from being one thing, for the duration of their existence?
I ran into a similar issue upon embarking on my blogging adventure. I kept seeing a recurring directive: find your niche. The general consensus is that a blog should focus on one topic to target an audience and keep them coming back.

Your Site Needs A Focus
Have you ever been told that? Have you been told you need to put your site in a certain niche?
You will not fail as a site if you do not have a niche, which I at least agree with Nicholas Scalice’s article You Don’t Need A Niche!
What you do need is some type of focus. It does not have to be on one particular niche. You would be surprised.....
