Why You Blog
I recently blogged about the benefits of blogging and how it has helped my writing and my aspirations to become published. Why do you blog and how does it help you?

Why do I blog, you ask?
Blogging has practically saved my life. I'm the mother of 5 children, you see, and don't do much of anything that makes me feel important or intelligent or even existent (sometimes)! So, blogging has become my pathway out of the blah-ness of everyday housewifery and into the world of creative expression. I began to blog for myself--because I always knew I could write, despite what my college profs told me. Now, I blog because people think what I write is funny and relevant and they tell me they look forward to my next entry. It feels good. It makes me smile. I'm beginning to believe I can do more than dishes and laundry again. That is why I blog.

Write Now!
The discipline of writing every day is really working for me. Sometimes I Tweet or Facebook instead... and always feel I have cheated myself in some way. Here's a great idea to get writing from a published novelist...

Why I Blog
Blogging for me is the best stress releaser I have found to date. I also blog for the same reason as most. I am an aspiring writer as well and hope to eventually publish my first book. My views and ideas are not unique in any way, the idea that my words may help someone is catamount for me.

Because we must
"Well, I firmly believe that writers blog for the same reason they write. They must. It's similar to mountains and mountain climbers. It's there, so it must be climbed. The words exist, so they must be put down." PLUS - An invitation to NaNoWriMo
