what are your six-words?
I’m a big fan of NPR … National Public Radio. I consider time spent listening to NPR is my time to become enlightened, educated and entertained (not always in that order). Today was no exception.

Lost In Sixty Seconds I Found Six Words
I had the rare privilege of child-free time today and got in a bit of web-browsing. I ran across Jan Schmidt's Tomato Baby blog and her post about The Six-Word Memoir... a challenge to sum up your life in six words. We also played this little game as an "ice breaker" at Blogalicious a few weeks ago. Reading about it today took me back to the conference and how we only had like a minute to let our entire lives pass before our eyes and sum it up in the shortest of phrases. I don't know about anyone else, but I found it almost excruciating! I mean...me...The ChatterBox...attempting to cram three-plus decades into half-a-dozen words in sixty seconds? Are you effin' kidding me? It took me two days to come up with my tag line! And almost a week to write my friggin' bio! My life...six words...sixty seconds... torture.

Tell Your Life Story in 6 Words.
recently read a post on Tomato Baby. She challenged everyone to write their story in six words. It reminded me of the first time I posted on twitter. Now I am challenged to sum up my life in six words! We definitely have entered the world of brevity and short attention spans. I love Little Books, but a six word memoir would fit on a post-it-note! I love a challenge and was intrigued with the idea so I decided to do it.

Say it in 6
Can you wrap up a life time of experience in 6 concise words? Inspired by NPR and Jan at tomatobaby.blogspot.com, the challenge is offered up to my readers to wrap up a life in six little words.

Six Word Definition Of Me
Can you write your life story in exactly six words? I did not think I could, but I came up with six words that I think define who I am. Why don't you look at what my six words are, and then try your hand at writing a six word memoir.

Just six words to describe you
The title of this post uses six words to describe the subject.

Six Simple Words
I’m a fan of the NPR show Talk of the Nation, so I’m sorry I missed the broadcast that Kellie, PieBird and Tomatobaby wrote about in their blogs last week.
Hmm, this got me thinking. No fan of labels, I could easily come up with a list of 50 for myself in five minutes. We label ourselves with the identities and traits we like, avoiding those we don’t. Other people judge us as they view us through their own labels! We all do this, it’s one of the things you realize as you listen to your mental chatter. I suppose labels on their own aren’t bad, it’s the attachment to them and value we give them where things get messy. I mean, I’m more complex than a bunch of words, especially when those words may not be accurate, useful or healthy. But… I’ll save this for another post.
Describe myself in six words? How about: Minding the path, enjoying the ride.

I Love Who I Am Becoming
All in all, I love my life with all of the successes and failures, blind spots and divine interventions. I really love the successes and divine interventions, but the failures and blind spots are learning experiences and without them, I wouldn’t have become who I am right now, at this moment.
“I am right now this moment.” There’s another six-worder.

You... in 6 Words
As much as I listen to NPR (one of only 2 radio stations around here!), I completely missed the Talk of the Nation program that tomatobaby talked about on her blog last week...
I got to thinking. Me - in 6 words? I'm a wordy person down to my very core. I thought this would be pretty painful. After a little deliberation, here's mine...
