Spring/Summer 2011 - Cheap Ways To Update That Wardrobe
So it's getting warmer - but you're skint and still wearing your wintery garb. How can you update your wardrobe for spring and summer without spending too much, if anything? Would love to hear your thoughts - I'm doing a charity and fashion project in 2011 where I only wear second-hand clothes meaning I have to seek out fashion rather than it coming to me via the high street.

My answer to Spring/Summer 2011 - Cheap Ways To Update That Wardrobe
Some good ideas here, and apparently for a good cause. Since my budget for new clothes has been really tight lately, I've made it a habit to "shop in my closet" before running out to the department store. For example, consider re-purposing some long pants/trousers into shorts and capris, rather than putting them away for the summer. It's quite easy to simply cut and hem to a shorter length. I do this with my yoga pants all the time because they fade and wear out eventually anyway, and I have to replace them. Might as well get multiple seasons out of them...and more tips on my blog.

Upcycled T-shirt Scarves and Necklaces
In my post I show off a variety of the Upcycled Trashion that I created from old T-shirts. These accessories are a great way to spice up a drab wardrobe and reuse some old clothing you would send to the landfill without this project.
Enjoy!

Trashion= Trash + Fashion... FABULOUS!
After reading and researching about "Trashion" I am falling more in love with the idea! It is very creative, unique and beautiful. This is a very great step for many people who are looking into greening their life in a very different way. This can help anyone be creative, create a hobby out of it and hopefully some money as well! Hand-made creations are just the best and dearest to the heart things. Just like many have heard that cooking your own food is the healthiest and safest way to go, why not do the same with clothing! Of course starting little is the way to grow to be green!
