In the Small, Small Pond
I discovered some mosquito larva in a couple of centimeters of water sitting in a RubberMaid tote in our back yard and ask the question - should they stay or should they go? On the one hand, this is a great chance to observe an insect lifecycle in action. On the other ... they're mosquitoes.

To rear or not to rear?
Dave Ingram's reflections on discovering and photographing mosquito larvae leads me to wonder what I would do in that situation. I love rearing insects, photographing and studying their life cycles, but is there a difference when it's a mosquito versus a butterfly?

Me no gusto el mosquito
Mosquitoes wreak havoc upon our planet, and there is no reason why someone should be wanting to allow them to prosper. In fact, there are plenty of reasons to not allow them to prosper.
