Ways To Minimize Your Visits To The Vet

I was reading another blog today called “In Dogged Pursuit” and the post was about ways to take care of your dog to avoid trips to the vet. I thought the article was a good reminder of things that all of us dog owners should remember to do.
Daily Exercise
Fresh Water (Remember to clean the bowls as you would for what you drink and eat out of)
Feed the best food you can afford
Give the dog attention everyday; brush, look at nails, observe bumps & skin irritations ( Bostons can be particularly sensitive to grass allergies)
Additionally I would add while giving attention pay particular attention to any fleas. Ask your vet about flea and tick prevention and heart worm preventative.
Observe your dog’s eating patterns for changes
Weekly check leashes, collars, fences, torn bedding and any other potential hazard.
