Serial girlfriend attempts to go 1 year w/o boyfriend

I’ve developed insomnia. I realize thousands of people live this way, but this is a major development for me. I LOVE sleep. I would rather sleep than do just about anything. But the past week has me tossing and turning, mind running a thousand miles an hour. Cause: breakup. Usual solution: jump into another serious relationship ASAP. Result: my love life is one big crazy train.

I was discussing the issue with a friend, who quickly pointed out to me that I have been in a serious relationship for the past four years (not the same serious relationship, but a series in rapidfire succession). She suggested I spend a little time in singledom. I began to object, when she interrupted and said, “Unless you really do need a man…”

Oh no she didn’t! Challenge taken.
