Passion is Power

Two weeks ago I wrote an article on the Top 10 Reasons to Take a Job You Hate. Just by reading the title, you might think that I’m opposed to passion.
The opposite is true.
In the first line of the piece I say, “Certainly most people will advise you to pursue your passion. Even I advocate this approach in life, but consistency is overrated.”
Today, I’d like to talk about how passion is power.

Passion is power is a great blog, because it reminds us that you can make money doing anything but really passion is all about consciously bringing it to your work rather than waiting on your work to motivate you - allow yourself to motivate you about work.

Looking for Work
I need a "job" but I don't want to run out and get a job without passion. In fact, I don't even want a boss. But I'm concerned about not having a steady paycheck ... until recently, my husband provided one.
I'm not desperate, but I am trying to figure out how to implant my passions into how I earn a living.

Passionate About Passion
I was reading a blog yesterday called Looking for My Life and I really liked what the author had to say. The post I read, entitled "Passion is Power", describes how being passionate about things makes you motivated to do what you want, gives you energy to pursue that passion, and empowers others to do the same. Passion plays an important role in our lives.
When we think passion, we think devotion, we think drive, we think zeal. These are all great qualities to have and are usually the ones that lead to success...and happiness. When we do the things we are most passionate about, the work that is involved is not "work", the investments spent on improvements are not thought of as expenses, and our constant need to learn more never ceases.
