New Year Resolution - fundraising through second-hand fashion - possible?

This year, I’m thinking about wearing only second-hand clothes for a year – well, buying them. In the name of charity - namely Macmillan Cancer Support. From charity shops, vintage markets and eBay. I’ll be spending less on clothes, making less impulse purchases, wearing more unusual things, accessorising better,  giving more money to charity and generally not giving money to sweatshop factories via the high street.

Rules:

So for this challenge, I’ll be avoiding the high street. No chain stores and new clothes. I am howevever allowed to buy from eBay (hurrah for unwanted Christmas gifts!)

These items are exempt from the challenge:

  1. Underwear/hosiery
  2. Swimwear
  3. Sportswear and sports shoes
  4. Gifts!? Should I be allowed new clothes for my birthday!?
  5. Jeans. I can never find jeans to fit anyway so may not need to buy any.

New Years Resolution for Charity

Last year Kim Sklinar cycled 500km from London to Paris to raise money for Charity. This year she is resolving to face her toughest challenge yet – 365 days of secondhand clothes.
