New Tron Legacy Trailer
The first trailer for Tron Legacy has been released and it looks, for want of a better adjective, stunning. This is just as well, given the impression the original Tron left in the minds of an entire generation. So much so that it matters not that the first film looks as dated as a Christmas jumper on January 1st.

Adding Tron to my lineup of Robot Movie Reviews
Basically, because of this post, I remembered that Tron is about a crazy computer program, but since I'd never seen it I had to look it up to make sure it really fits with the theme of my blog.
It really does, and so I'll be adding Tron to the lineup of robot movies, and when Tron: Legacy comes out on DVD I'll review that, too.

New Tron Legacy Trailer
Having seen the original Tron on opening night, I must say I was completely impressed with the new approach in film making even for back then. But I will say, the new version will not be a blockbuster but a mere reflection of another movie revival gone bad.
From the trailer, I was not at all impressed and feel in today's film making demands, this one will not fit the bill. Today's moviegoer expects so much from a film and Tron does not deliver. The other concern for me is that this film should have been released in the summer 2010 rather than during the holiday season. It would have generated great holloween costume ideas.
I say this movie should be a pass.
