The mission? Cook my way around the world's 193(ish) countries in alphabetical order - Are you in?!
Join me as I cook my way around the word's 193(ish) countries in alphabetical order. First stop Afghanistan, last stop Zimbabwe.
At the heart of this project is my goal to prepare authentic meals using fresh, homemade ingredients that reflect the culture, geography, history, beliefs and values of each country I visit. And I will eat and try ANYTHING once. I have yet cook in a country whose food I didn't appreciate and enjoy. Along the way, I toss in a few off-the-map surprises I hope you'll check out!
Now on day 71 in Hungary, I have connected with so many wonderful people from all over the world, I never would have met if not for this blog.
I'd love to hear from you if you have recipes, ideas, comments or suggestions I can incorporate into my blog. Give me a shout-out and tell me what's cooking in your world!

Recipes from the SouthAsian region of Asia - Pakistan
Pakistan is a country with rich and colorful heritage. Food both simple and exotic are its identity. Spices, lentils, grains, vegetables, and meat; it gives a recipe for each of the ingredient and a combination of these from 2 - 7 or sometimes 8. Haleem is an example of such recipe;. It has more than 8 ingredients of lentils, grains and meat. One pot dish, nothing else needed with a bowl filled with haleem.
Sarah Soble, I have recipes for you from Pakistan when you come to the letter "P". I hope you will enjoy. To see the recipes and pictures, please go to the following link.

Cooking Your Way Around the World
My husband and kids reckon I spend way to much time on the computer, but seriously, I can’t help it. There is a whole world out there, and I figure if I can’t actually get out there right now, at least I can read about it. As you know, I have a genuine love of all things food, especially new flavours and international cuisines. (I’m not all cupcakes you know!) So, I was really excited when I stumbled upon this amazing blog written by Sarah Scobie. Her son challenged her to cook a meal from a different country every week until they had literally tasted all 193 or so countries of the world! What an awesome idea!

Bring Geography to Life
Having just learned that our Operation Christmas Child shoebox went to Zambia this year, I’ve had geography on the brain....
Although What's Cooking in Your World? would be a great site to browse just for fun, it could also be a very handy homeschooling resource.

Bon Appetit!
While trimming something like six-hundred photographs today, I turned Julie & Julia on for a little background noise. It made me want to cook duck. A brief once-over of my kitchen proved there was very little to actually cook besides vegetables and yellow cake in a box, so I made popcorn. And burned it. This effectively ended any illusions I had toward becoming Julia Child.
