Memories...books i loved as a child
Last Sunday night after finishing up a family dinner at my parents’ home I was handed a pile of books from my mum. What are these, I wondered. My face instantly lit up when I saw the titles I was holding in my hand. There were Roald Dahl collectors Charlie and the Chocoloate Factory, The Witches and James and the Giant Peach along with classics Oliver Twist, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and my all time favourite Little Women!
..........
These are the books I will pass on to my own children one day and I hope to collect more of the titles I loved as a kid so that they can enjoy them too.
What books got you through your childhood and early adolescence?

Kids Classics my favorite childhood books
This article is written as a Buzz to a Seed planted by Jane Fordham entitled 'Memories...books I read as a child'. It tells of two childrens books that address seperation and compassion and it shares how I related on those levels, although I didn't realize it until writing this blog.

My Favourite Children's Books
As a child I always had my head in a book, escaping into different worlds. Some of the great literary characters were also my good friends, I was right there with them throughout all their adventures, sharing in their triumphs and worrying over their setbacks. I blame my less than perfect eye sight on my propensity to sneakily continue reading well after being told to turn out my light. Using a little torch under the covers that seemed to eat AA batteries like they were going out of fashion was not ideal.
Here’s ten of my favourite children’s books/series, old and new, in no particular order.
Happy reading!
