Making Your Computer Run Faster

Recently I succeeded in helping my mother-in-law's laptop run faster through the use of some freeware optimization programs I list in my blog post, programs I use myself to keep my own computer running in top form. What freeware programs do you guys use to keep your computers optimized? Maybe there are a few I don't know about.
