MAKE ME OVER, MAKE ME BEAUTIFUL

What defines beauty? Is it the way a person looks, facial structure, hair, weight, skin complexion, height, body parts, fuller lips or tighter skin?

In today's society, it seems as if the rules for beauty seem to be superficially defined and ever-changing. The 'beauty is within' belief appears to be insignificant compared to 'beauty on the outside.' After all, beauty or lack thereof is the first thing people notice, judge, remember, talk about, emulate and adore. Or at least that's what society has been brainwashed to think and believe.

The fact of the matter is- beauty has become King. It rules lives, changes ideals and has completely taken over how people see themselves. The mirror is no longer in the privacy of our own bedrooms, instead it's out there in the world reflecting images of perfection according to society: thin physiques, large breasts, botox injected faces, lips, nip/tucked arms and bellies, long tresses, smaller noses, voluptuous back sides, and the list goes on and on.

I am beautiful! Say it and Own it.

ARE YOU BEAUTIFUL?
Many women the world over sell themselves short in the beauty category.
A lack of sense of self has driven many women over the edge in their pursuit of “beauty”.
Beauty is as beauty can be.
I watch is dismay as women let the media give them a contorted view of what beauty should and can be and this they warps their head around this images and loose their unique sense of self.
Glossy near perfect images shouting at us from the pages of magazines, TV and the web have led many to believe that beauty is only surface deep and that we must be near perfect to be called beautiful.
It appears that Beauty has in many ways come to de defined as solely physical.
