Hotels are for humans
As a mom who travels with young children, I pay close attention to the accomodations that I choose for my family, taking into consideration amenities and other details of a hotel. One of the things that I never used to consider was a hotel's policy on pets.
As someone who doesn't own a pet, the thought of traveling with one never crossed my mind. Having allergies and a young toddler who constantly rolls around on the floor, staying somewhere that allows pets presents a problem for me.

Granted, not all hotels have a "pets welcome" policy but those that do, should clearly and visibly state such on their sites for all visitors to see. It shouldn't be in fine print or disclosed only if you ask - it should be made visible. This way, potential guests can make an informed decision on where they'll stay - possibly opting for accommodations specifically for humans.
Whether you own a pet or not, where do you stand on this issue?

What Makes a “Green” Hotel Green? The answer is YOU!
I recently had the pleasure of spending a snowy weekend in the Poconos with my family and friends. I wouldn’t call myself well traveled, but I’ve seen the inside of enough hotel rooms to know of the basic amenities. For this mom of 3, it’s as good as a visit to the spa.
Room service – overpriced... but the cost of having dinner delivered to me in bed... priceless
Small fridge – Or as I like to call it “Happy hour in a box” conveniently chills my domestic beer and stores my snacks from home....
