Growing up to be a writer, artist and coder -- childhood dreams CAN come true!
I'm sure they meant well, but my parents had their own agenda for what career I would follow. Looking back on it now, as a mom of three great kids of my own, I feel sorry for them that they never got to know the real daughter they had. But the good news is, despite lots of detours and sidetracks, I just realized the other day that I have grown up to do all the things I loved to do as a child! And I get paid for it! How cool is that???

Both of my careers were unexpected by my parents. Becoming a teacher was a total shock to them. Truthfully, I think I shocked myself even more. Then, just a couple of years ago, I began to write novels in earnest.I had always dreamed of doing this, but hadn't felt I had a story until now. I've really set myself up for a lifetime of criticism!

Childhood Dreams
It is very far and in between that you hear of someone, being totally satisfied with their life in general. It is a wonderful thing to be able to recognize and enjoy all aspects of your life. It leaves so much more room to be at peace with yourself, and others,to live, love and be happy.I really enjoyed reading such positive thoughts.
