Does your blog have a mission?
I'm embarking on the 52 Weeks of Blogging your Passion journey and the first step in the process is developing your blog's mission statement. The mission statement serves as the focal point of your blog and all posts should be written with the umbrella of the mission in mind.
So what's my mission? In a nutshell, to support, promote and spread the word about indie designers, handmade artisans and independently owned brick and mortar shops and businesses.
So, what's your mission? How do you carry it out in your blog?

I feel all grown up deciding on my mission statement.
Thanks Christie, for 'forcing' me to make a decision about my blog. It seems that everything happens for a reason and my oldest blog ( I have 8 ) kinda lost its bearings. I'm pleased that I found your seed as I can now promise myself to use this blog as a sounding board for my own experience as a paper crafter (card maker).
So thank you
All the best
Fab

Does Your Blog Have a Mission
I’m a member of Seeded Buzz, a content sharing site for bloggers, and as I was browsing new posts, the question posed by the writer of The Blooming Wildflowers Project jumped off the screen. Does your blog have a mission? I took a minute to consider this.
I have a tag line that I hope guides readers first thing: New Life for the Tossed and Found.
Behind that resides my goal for the blog: Make things. Make things from materials that already exist. Like a crafter, I like to take bits and pieces of the small and overlooked and make them into something bigger—useful, expressive, one-of-a-kind. It’s a rewarding way to practice problem solving. You take a nothing, toss some ideas between your right and left brain, and come up with a solution that’s pleasing to the mind and eye.

Living-Writing With A Mission
“Does your blog have a mission” is a question that I read recently on another blog.....
Starting this blog was a way to put my ideas and concepts down because I knew I had an inner voice that was calling me to expand my ideas and share them; I wanted to put it down on paper so to speak. Writing this blog has allowed me to fine tune my voice, to hone my message and give water to the passion within me that has been ready to blossom for a long time. Looking back I can see how every decision I made, path I followed, gave voice to a constant thread of my passion and commitment to awakening and empowering women to feel good about themselves, believe in their dreams, take care of themselves and to never sell themselves short. As well, to define and follow your own unique path. I struggled with low self-esteem and confusion over who I was for many years. At 48 – I know!

MY BLOG: MISSION POSSIBLE
I started my blog over a year ago and it is one of the smartest writing decisions I have ever made. Prior to my blog, all my thoughts stayed bottled up inside my head with no audience and no applause. Thanks to blogging I have been able to spread my creative wings and share my essence with the masses. My Mind Wash blog is a place to vent about any and everything.
I've always believed, whether we realize it or not, that there is a mission behind every move we make. Starting my blog was a way to inspire and motivate other creative beings to start their own blog and share their work and talent with the world. It also led me to create my website- Ellen's Door. The mission behind ellensdoor.com is to provide a global forum for artists, businesses, sites, bloggers, writers and all things creative to promote themselves behind one door. All you have to do is open it and you'll find some pretty amazing stuff.

A mission statement for my blog?? Hmmmmm....
The idea of creating a mission statement for my blog struck me at first as silly. After all, my blog isn't selling or promoting a company. It's not about a cause or a reporting on an event. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I do have a mission, a focus. And stating it made it clearer to me.
As a long time single mom, now recently married, there was a lot I wanted to share about life, kids, faith, and my own somewhat skewed view of the world! Now I know why. Thanks, Christie!

Point of It All
So, what's the point of this blog? What role does peanutbutter|ressiecup play in my life, and in your life, aside from a uber cute blog title? What's the mission? What's the purpose. What's the point of it all?
I didn't bother to consider this until I came across another blog, by a different author, who quite possibly without knowing, sparked something in me. Questioned me to question myself on why is it that I do this. What is this to me and more importantly, what do I want this to be everyone else? To whomever decides to follow or link or like or discuss or copy and paste passages into tweets and statuses.

Is This A Newbie Blog?
My craft blog is at wss-scrapbook.blogspot.com
My main purpose of creating this blog is to share my scrapbooking addiction and later my swap activities at swap-bot.com.
Please read them and comment if you like. As the title, I am still a newbie. :)

Why I Blog Like Mad!
I like this blogger's idea - to get people to talk about what their "mission" is with their blog...
My mission is to show people the implicit insanities in society, overseen by corporately controlled governments, who care nothing about the "health" of the inhabitants of this planet, but only about profit. My mission is to make just one person (and hopefully more) reconsider the choice to go on psychiatric drugs. My mission is to banish the discrimination, stigmatization, and human rights violations that the "mentally ill" are subjected to, and reveal the paradox in the current paradigm of "mental health" - how can we be "mentally healthy" when our environment is not?

May Mission
I read about setting a mission for your blog so this is my mission post.
Visit my blog to know that the mission is.
http://selurus.com/2010/05/may-mission/
What's my mission? All bloggers have one, what's mine?
My blog's mission is to tell people about my mission. My mission is to basically get products and try them out and let people know if they are worth purchasing. The other part of my mission is to select causes and charities that I think need more exposure and promote them. Simple yet doable mission.

RELEVANCE
I ache to be relevant, to make a difference. Nothing would make me happier than to be a voice for others who at different times, for different reasons, feel disenfranchised or unimportant. I believe that no matter what our individual circumstances, we share commonalities that make us human; we are more alike than we are different.
It is in large part this desire that drives me to blog. I do love to create, and want to share my creations here, but I really want to give voice to ideas I believe in - large and small, insignificant and earth-shattering. Above all, I want to motivate you to do the same.

What's this Website About?: You Help Decide!
I haven't got a specific niche. In fact, my current tagline is "Where Style Overcomes A Lack Of Niche."
The website is about six months old now. I've got a steady stream of followers but there is loads of room for improvement. A lot of that will come from audience feedback. I need to hear from you.
Do you like the podcasts, the short stories? Am I as funny as I was last week? Am I as insulting as I was last month? Is my father's photo handsome? Should I take my shirt off again? Are there too many references to the cats who watch me blog?

A quick take on a blogging mission statement
I am now beginning to think, though, that I ought to hone my mission statement more. That certainly would be the advice I'd give to someone who asked me for it. "Explore more what you mean by connected," I'd most probably say, and it's good advice, but these days I am just too tired, too stressed, too busy, too too, to do it. At least The Blooming Wildflowers Project has gotten me thinking about it, though. For now, I'll have to be satisfied with that.

My Passions, Revealed
I have been undergoing a great deal of changes personally and professionally of late.
I have needed to take a better look at the way I am serving myself, my blogs, my readers, my friends, my family, w the posts I put up on my blogs, and on other various social networking media.
I have had to sit down and ask myself these questions, and many more:
Does my blog have a mission? Do any of my blogs have a mission? Do I myself personally have a mission?

1 Month Anniversary - Challenges, Achievements, and Goals
I’ve been writing in Looking For My Life for a month now. Like the pursuit of any new endeavor, it has been a challenge getting to know the ropes of the blogosphere. There have also been a number of achievements as well. Though the challenges and accomplishments seem to balance each other out, there is still a long way for me to go in creating a pleasant reader experience.
Here is a little run down of where things are at now.
