Do You Care?

Do you care about other people?  Do you care enough to perform a caring act for them? Caring for other people is an awesome thing.  While we are taking care of their physical needs we are taking care of their spiritual needs.  Even the smallest act of caring can help someone.  I could even save someone's life.

Do you care about others?

Yes I care about others. My heart and prayers are with them no matter what. We have to realize that the smallest act of faith can move mountains. Everyone needs a helping hand from time to time. The world would be a better place if we all learned to show a little more compassion.

Help Fund Less Toxic Cancer Treatment for Children – Vote Now for the Pepsi Grant

I just recently found out about the Pepsi Refresh Project. Have you heard of it? After looking over this site, I can’t help but wonder what people are thinking? I have a very difficult time internalizing how a Horror Film Festival can be in the same category as children whose last hope is based upon new cancer research, or how saving cats from euthanasia can compete with cleaning up the gulf oil spill.
Caryn is a real person with a real family and a child facing an unsure future. She has done everything within her scope of power to be there for her son, other children, and families facing a similar situation. Can we help them out too and help get funding for this treatment?

Apathy

Apathy is a huge problem in our national psyche today. Frankly I don't give a damn about it. I'm more concerned with what's REALLY important like when will the Cubs win the World Series.

A stranger saved me yesterday, I wonder if he will ever know...I hope so.

My newfound blogger friend at "Sugar Filled Emotions" speaks about the way that caring for someone - often someone you don't know that well, or perhaps a complete stranger, can affect someone so profoundly that it can change, and even save their lives.
Yesterday I experienced this, and I feel that sense of "too much of a coincidence to be a coincidence!" after reading her post, that spoke to my own thoughts so deeply - although my own article is in the form of abstract prose and photographs (I just arrived home from a folk festival - it inspired my artist side!).
I hope to reconnect with this stranger who saved me from falling off a "life cliff", who held me in his arms and healed me. But I likely will not - thus I wrote this post dedicated to him, and sent him an e-mail link. The older I get, the more I want to let the people who catch me to know - "You saved me - my spirit, and maybe even my life".
