Do you blog "anonymously"? Do you show your face to the world?

For my first six months as a blogger, I did not dare show an actual photograph of myself on my blog, or elsewhere on the web.  I was just a ghost with the screen name "scarsarestories".  I was a little paranoid, since I blog about contraversial, and sometimes local topics.  Then I thought, "Screw it!"  How many times a day is my face captured on camera while walking down the street, never mind when speaking with folks from around the world who read my writing and talk with me about it? - this is my dream come true!

Do you choose to blog anonymously, or do you show your face to the (Internet) world?  Have you struggled with the choice?  Or perhaps, you never even thought of going "anonymous"!  It's an interesting topic - do you think there are risks involved in using your own photo as a gravatar, or should we all just look each other in the eye for once?  (Unfortunately, the seededbuzz application is not letting me upload my photo :p, so you'll have to come by to see me - bugs fixed so site is visible to all, including I.E. users.  Cheers!)
