DENIAL. BECAUSE BOBA FETT IS STILL ALIVE.

As an outrageously flamboyant Science fiction geek, and having a lot of free time on my hands, i find myself revisiting the story to eat all stories, the big fish in sci-fi - i am, of course talking about Star wars.There has not before or since been such an expansive universe in perhaps any story ever told.One of the most strikingly upsetting sequences in Star Wars is Fett's "death" when a blind, stumbling (and sort of rubbish) Han Solo accidentally activates Fett's backpack, sending him crashing into the Sarlacc pit.

 But being the legend he is, surely he got out, right? right?

"I've killed virtually everything that moves, one time or another, a hundred different species, sentient or dumb; if it breathes i've probably killed it or something like it. But i've killed clean. I've killed without stretching it out." -Boba Fett

SEE! He's a good guy! Between the... you know, all the killing, he's pretty good.

"I was sixteen, she was eighteen... the only females i knew as a kid were a Kaminoan and a changeling bounty hunter. Doesn't equip you to be a family man. But i tried..."

At some point before Solo's capture in carbonite, Fett fell in love, got married, and had a child. The marriage didn't last - Boba was exhiled from wherever he was because he killed the man who raped his wife. Having failed in his attempt to be a regular man, Fett took up bounty hunting again. Huh. More good guy points.

Anyhow, Fett fell into the sarlacc pit, to which nobody has ever escaped. The Sarlacc digests it's victims over a period of a thousand years - meaning they are very much alive.

Now, i am not the only fanboy to believe this to be true - check out the "wookiepedia" page. According to that, he lives to be at least seventy. And, meets his wife again, with no hard feelings.

Boba Fett is supposedly going to provide a major role in the Star Wars live action series in production. It will be aired later this year.
