SEO should mean Selecting Every Opportunity

SEO is a term most web designer's know, but for the small business person like me it's a conundrum of rules and regs dictated by Google and some by Yahoo that seems overwhelming to understand.

How I Feel About Facebook

Let me begin by admitting that I use Facebook daily.  I’m not a big phone person and I currently live in the boonies, so I like being able to share in Facebook’s Buffet of Amenities.  Besides, the initial idea behind Facebook is nothing short of stupendous.  You get to keep in touch with friends and family, reconnect with old acquaintances, and publicize businesses and events – for free.  Convenient, huh?

That being said, I think the whole thing has been a bit too used and abused.

Are you inspired?

Watching the Sound of Music inspired me...it usually does.  I always get the urge to glide out of my little house twirlling my front yard singing with all my might. Makes me forget the pavement is uneven, and the door doesn't stayed closed unless you bolt it and well the neighbors are not really the Sound of Music "type," so movie inspirations have to go elsewhere.

I am constantly looking for inspiration.  When I am feeling particularly spent from a long binge of writing there are a few tricks that seem to get me going...

Content is the New Black

After spending way too much time on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook lately, I can’t help but notice the amount of content people are generating and aggregating. I follow people “professionally” on Twitter and LinkedIn, and I see articles and blog posts on almost every topic imaginable. People are using social media to develop their personal and professional brands.

So is content the new black? Is content replacing creative?

Maybe replacing isn’t the right word, but content is definitely making a comeback.

Blogging is Like Sex – Anyone can do it…but few Master It

Take a look at how I compare blogging with having sex. How do you separate yourself from everyone else? A lot of people have the ability to have sex, but few become incredible lovers. Let me know whether you think I am crazy or whether you agree!

Mindmaps: how to network your ideas

Mindmapping is nothing new.  Everyone from business people to teachers to psychologists use this method.  Why?  Because it's the best way of bringing order to our organic (and rather scattered) thoughts.

I felt like I was in a rut for the past few weeks and all I wanted to do was hibernate. This new feeling is nice and I am not even jacked up on coffee. :)

Blogspot Vs. WordPress

Blogger vs. Wordpress? Which one is better Blogger or Wordpress. There are many blog host, but the top two are Blogger (Blogspot) and Word Press. They are both different, I think Blogger specializes in content and Wordpress specializes in website traffic. I personaly think Blogger is better because the better content you have the better traffic you get! Wordpress only tracks traffic for you, so if people know you can see where you get your traffic then they might link to you thinking you will link back to them.

Blogger vs. WordPress

One of the most important decisions when  is choosing what blog platform to use. The two most common ones are Blogger and Wordpress right now. Having used both WordPress and Blogger I wanted to make a post comparing the different features of both to at least give you an idea.

A few Pros of Blogger:
