Crafty Environmentalist
Today I discovered a great free resource to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day which is coming up next Friday, April 22. You can download an e-book of crafts to make out of recycled materials. You can go to the link through the fabulous blog of Pie Bird at: http://piebirdblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/sweetie-pie-deal-free-recycled-c...
For those of you that may not know, a piebird is a little ceramic statue that is put into a pie when you bake it (if unlike me, you have any home ec. skills and do bake) to vent the pie instead of putting holes in it with a fork or something to vent it. My friend Phyllis collects piebirds and even goes to piebird conventions to meet other people that collect them. Perhaps I can work a trade with Phyllis this week and make her a recycled craft in exchange for one of her delicious pies!
