Brown Girls Can Wear Bright Makeup - Bold Blue
This is a part of my "You Can Hue It" series showing brown girls that they can wear bright and fun different shades of makeup, not just neutral golds and browns.
Brown beauties, don't fear the gorgeous pop of brilliant blue against your skin! It can be incorporated into your makeup routine in subtle ways for some pop such as aqua blue eyeliner in the lower rim, a cream navy blue eyeliner on top, or maybe a bit ofblue mascara for flirty fun? OR you can go all out and do a fabulously done up eye in blue incorporating light, dark, and every hue in between.

Bold Blue Shades for Dark-skinned Girls
When it comes to practicing cutting edge beauty techniques, bold colors are a hit and a miss; especially if you're fair-skinned. Dark-skinned girls look amazing when they try bold shades, however, leaving a veritably endless palette of hues for them to try. In particular, the color blue is favored by this blogger who quotes "Brown Girls Can Wear Makeup."

Bright Colours and Your Skin Tone
Bright Colours and Your Skin Tone

I’ve never really been one for bright colours. Growing up it was black and purples, early twenties it was browns, but now I’m trying far more colours of varying intensities. I guess it might be because I’m in a city and feel far less likely to be noticed for wearing bright blue/yellow eyeshadow but whatever the reason I’m definitely coming out of my colour-shell ;-)

Bombshells, Belles and Whistles
The beauty inspiration post is dedicated to a recent friend I met on a mini-movie set, where I was a make-up artist. She inquired about the use of color/trends in make-up to deviate from her default color, brown, to spice up her look. This post is a semi-tutorial and ode to her using various electrifying blue hues to transform into a Blue Belle or a Blue Bombshell. The total look includes fashion, beauty and internal inspirations.
