Have Your Say - Smoking In Cars

It was announced this week that the Royal College of Physicians in Britain is urging lawmakers to pass a ban on smoking in cars, citing the dangers of second hand smoke to passengers. And they're not just talking about the risk of developing cancer, but the effects of smoke that lead to respiratory infections, ear infections, asthma attacks and even SIDS in babies. All of these preventable effects put more financial strain on an already taxed health care system.

We paid cash for a new (to us) car

According to the dealership where we purchased our new (to us) car, it is getting more and more difficult for dealers to buy up used cars at auto auctions.  With our economy being in the state that it is more and more people are driving their cars until the wheels fall off, and less and less people are leasing and buying new vehicles.  So there are less cars to be auctioned off.

Anti-Semitism on a Army Post?

We went out to the car this morning, well almost noon and there on the back panel close to the window was a small swastika. It measures about 2.5 inches overall. But it made me catch my breath, it's impact is huge.

Peggy Sue, Peggy Sue

My partner loves cars. He has had 65 cars since he was fifteen and he is still buying and selling them. We have a beautiful rough and tumble vintage truck and our daily drivers, and then there is that very special car for special trips.

I ended up at a local cruise parade and loved it. I never would have gone if not for Ken.  If you are a color, shape, logo, people junkie like me, you would have loved it,too. It was eye candy. So I may not know the make or the model, but I love the cars and I love a parade.

Oil is a slippery business, literally. But don’t let it slip you up on your path to going green. Creative learning for pre-schoolers

When it comes to learning early in life it is all about play. Getting down on the floor and engaging with your kids in that play can lead to some really great organic teaching moments and we had a moment just like that. We gathered all the little cars and sorted them by color. Then we counted to ten using the cars. 1 Grey car, 2 purple, and on and on until we got to 11. Cause our amps go to 11!

T.S.A.: It's Our Business To Touch Yours

It doesn't seem to matter whether you choose the Rapiscan radioactive see-you-naked photo op, or opt for the personal touch with a full-body fondling that has been specially designed to intimately search every type of physique ...

...Whatever screening option you choose (and some lucky passengers may even get to have both), you'll be able to board that airplane with a false sense of security, and of course, the "T.S.A. Approved" inspection stamp conspicuously branded on your hindquarters.

A major reason for Israel's chronic road accident record must be the transport authority's utterly perverse teaching and testing policies. The rules of the road are often the reverse of those throughout Europe and the U.S. Moreover, I've met recent immigrants with a lifetime's driving experience, clean  licences and maximum no-claims insurance bonuses in their native countries who seem to have been failed quite unfairly when they take their driving test. Why?

Why some people love the smell of petrol?

The smell of petrol likes to lots of people, there is something that gives its distinctive odour that some of us love. However, don’t spend too much time sniffing petrol since it is  highly toxic. It is composed of benzene, ethylbenzene, xylene, toluene and other hydrocarbons. All those chemicals are hazardous for your health. Intoxicating yourself through the inhalation of petrol can cause severe physical, cognitive, and psychological impairment, particularly due to the role it plays in the selective degeneration of deep white matter and cerebellar structures.

Rear Facing Carseats - 2 is the new 1!!!!

Why Rear-Face Longer?
As you might have noticed, Facebook has been a bit bombarded by crazy people talking about how babies should stay rear-facing until at least age 2 (gasp! the nerve! the horror! how dare they!).

Why are the crazy people doing this? Why am I crazy? Why is my nearly 14-month old still backwards in her carseat? Won't she break her legs?
