A lesson I've learnt

What you give is what you get.
In this post I share about my experience on how I'm trying to help others and how it has actually turned to help me in return as well.
Why don't you share a similar experience you've had?

Have Your Say - Smoking In Cars

It was announced this week that the Royal College of Physicians in Britain is urging lawmakers to pass a ban on smoking in cars, citing the dangers of second hand smoke to passengers. And they're not just talking about the risk of developing cancer, but the effects of smoke that lead to respiratory infections, ear infections, asthma attacks and even SIDS in babies. Why some people love the smell of petrol?

The smell of petrol likes to lots of people, there is something that gives its distinctive odour that some of us love. However, don’t spend too much time sniffing petrol since it is  highly toxic. It is composed of benzene, ethylbenzene, xylene, toluene and other hydrocarbons. All those chemicals are hazardous for your health. Intoxicating yourself through the inhalation of petrol can cause severe physical, cognitive, and psychological impairment, particularly due to the role it plays in the selective degeneration of deep white matter and cerebellar structures.

Sweat-free clothing through Fair Trade

I recently wrote an article entitled: "Fair Trade vs. Sweatshops" which got such a response from the average person, I felt it worth posting here. A lot of people have heard about Fair Trade and may even know a little about it, but not many know that it is active in the fight against sweatshops and the exploitation of workers, mostly women and children.

Rear Facing Carseats - 2 is the new 1!!!!

Why Rear-Face Longer?
As you might have noticed, Facebook has been a bit bombarded by crazy people talking about how babies should stay rear-facing until at least age 2 (gasp! the nerve! the horror! how dare they!).

Why are the crazy people doing this? Why am I crazy? Why is my nearly 14-month old still backwards in her carseat? Won't she break her legs?

No More Vacations! Something always goes wrong, involving our car and an insurance claim. (Humor)

My husband and I are starting to think our vacations are cursed.  And so does our insurance carrier. In fact, they've even written a special coverage exclusion clause ... just for us and our cursed cars.

In my latest humor column, I relate some of our vacation adventures ... and misadventures.  Not to mention, the craziness of my life with my hubby Mark.
