Air Travel costs more than the ticket
This is a blog about why I cancelled my subscription to Lonely Planet Magazine - I was tired of reading about air travel being the only option. The post became a bit of a meditation/rant about air travel, and making ethical choices around travel options.

American Airline's New Charges (satire)
This is a short satire of a lot of the new charges some airlines are adding to cover the costs of ever demanded cheap flights. Note: the word "handjob" is used at least once, and I cannot guarantee it wont be used a second time.

Plane vs bus/train/other options
Whenever I return to visit my country of birth, air travel is unavoidable: however, I realise I dropped the ball on being environmentally responsible when it came to deciding how to get from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore for my upcoming trip. Ooops! In this blog post I explore the reasons (or excuses) why I ended up buying a plane ticket instead of a bus or train.

Abdicate or articulate?
If we're frustrated by something should we abdicate or express our opinion? I really liked this writer's stand, but worry that by withdrawing she's lost the opportunity to make a change. Does withdrawing mean she will be able to make a difference or should she try to influence a magazine as a subscribing reader?
