What blog software should I use?
It's one of the questions that anyone new to blogging asks and getting it right may stop them having to jump between software platforms. What's your view?
Submitted by SeededBuzz on 23rd AprI have blogs created with both WordPress and Blogger. I've found them both easy to use and customize. I would recommend using Blogger to anyone who has minimal web site or html experience. It's so user-friendly that you should really have your blog up and running in not time.
TypePad..
But you have 2 Pay. They are very professional and easy to use.

I have used both Blogger and Wordpress, and while I love Wordpress (that's where I am sticking now) I would probably recommend that bloggers start on Blogger/blogspot. It is free and easy to learn, whereas Wordpress is a little more complicated and has monthly fees to maintain. I suppose it has to do with what your goals and intentions are for your blog.
I'm using Wordpress.com and it's been very easy to set up and use (it's also free). I also like their choice of themes and graphics, there is a lot of variety so you can find just the right feeling for your particular blog. The one thing I dislike is that I can't get the stats portions of Feedburner and Google Analytics to work, but that might just be my inexperience.
I have tried them all I believe and I have settled on Wordpress. You can host a blog for free at Wordpress.com but if you adventurous and would like more flexibility then I would suggest you sign up for a hosting account at GoDaddy.com and add the Wordpress Blogging platform to your own hosted domain. I would suggest you start with the free hosted version at Wordpress.com first though so you can freely work through the learning curve but once you have posted a few articles then you may consider a host.
Wordpress.com allows you to redirect your domain name to your free hosted site at Wordpress.com for an annual fee of $20. This makes for a very affordable way to host a blog under your own domain name. www.myblog.com.
I also use Blogger which makes adding advertising streams simple and with their new template design feature you have almost limiteless possibilities in designing your own look and feel of your blog.
Although I use both platforms my preference is Wordpress handsdown.
Depends on the purpose of your blog.
For personal blogs, mom blogs and anything where you aren't "running a business", Blogger is good. Much easier to learn...
If you want to generate an income, you need to be self- hosted with a Wordpress.org
Check out my article about that here:
