FAQ's

  • What is a Seed?
  • Planting is a Seed is you telling other bloggers about your blog post and inviting them to continue the conversation on their blog and link back to you.

The better the Seed conversation and the more extendable / debatable it is, the more other bloggers will Buzz about it on their blogs and link to you. That's why suggesting ideas on how a Seed conversation could be developed is a good idea.

  • What is Buzz?
  • Buzz happens when another blogger picks up on, writes about and links to your blog post.Like with Seeds, bloggers also tell the community about how they have managed to carry on the Seed conversation by submitting their Buzz on the site.

Because we ask that where possible a Buzz post links to the original Seed post PLUS one other post that has Buzzed, links will be earned from Buzzing as well as Seeding.

Buzzing is also how you can earn more Seed credits.

  • Why do other bloggers write and link to my post?
  • They will write about your blog post if it's useful, newsworthy, opinionated, interesting, funny, contentious and all the other types of successful blog post.

If they do write about you they will also be helping to promote their own blog. This is the win-win of SeededBuzz.

  • How does having other people write and link to me help me?
  • If another blog writes about you and your site you will get immediate exposure their readers, some of whom may chose to come and read more of your work, and even subscribe.

In addition, Google and other search engines use information about who is linking to you to form an opinion on where you should be ranked. The more quality and relevant links you have the better you will rank. This once again will increase the traffic you get to your site.

If you generate revenue from advertising or product sales, this increased traffic should mean more money in the bank.
